7 Ways to Stay Productive in 2021

Happy New Year and welcome to 2021!

In today’s blog, I’ll be sharing amazing productivity tips with you.

January is another month with so much tension to be productive, to set the pace for the year, and to survive what everyone calls the “70days of January”. ?

It’s safe to say we survived it.

Like every other year, 2021 is filled with lots of opportunities and it’s not too late to set goals and targets for the year.

Set your short and long-term goals (in relation to your family, career, education, etc).  Don’t wait around for someone else to do it for you – be more intentional this year.

Don’t get caught up with being busy; rather, be productive and results-driven.

To help you, here are 7 productivity tips I am adopting in 2021:

1.      Create Task Lists

Create a task list or a to-do list that clearly state out what is expected of you to achieve. This can be done daily or weekly. Create your task list to suit your deliverables.

2.      Take The Tough One’s Down

Start your day with the most important tasks. This helps your system kickoff your day correctly and sets your mind up positively to address every other task.

3.      Keep a Productivity Journal

Keep a track record of every step and activity in your day. This helps you to point out the best approach that works for you.

4.      Try not to Multitask a lot

We sometimes see multitasking as a means of productivity however you end up starting every task/project at the same time hence prolonging simple tasks alongside the tough ones.

5.      Time Blocking and Deadlines

Block out hours used for daily activities from your working hours. Find your most productive times and set deadlines to ensure you meet up to your targets within expected timeframes.

6.      Turn off Distractions

Ensure to set apart anything that will appear as a distraction from achieving your set goals while working (e.g. social media). Also, take breaks to ensure that you are always refreshed and energetic.

7.      Always review your Task List

Review your task list. You can do this weekly or daily as it suits your set goals or targets. This will help you optimize your productivity.

And there you have it – 7 productivity tips for 2021. I hope you find these helpful as you navigate this year and stay winning. I’m rooting for you!
