N-K Obiako is a brand strategist at Dyme Agency. She provides strategic solutions for entrepreneurs to amplify their brand and connect with their target audience to increase sales. She is also the co-founder of the Hollywood Meets Nollywood (USA) Film Premiere and Afro Brunch (USA) events in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Q. What is one productivity app, gadget, or tool you use consistently?
I love using Google Calendar. It’s available on almost all mobile devices and you have no excuse if you miss your appointment since it comes with reminders.
Q. How do you practice self-care in your life?
I love to meditate and exercise early in the mornings to relax my mind and keep me energetic throughout the day.
Q. What is one pet peeve of yours?
People who are messy and don’t wash their hands. Chineke! Lol. I like to keep clean the environment around me at all times and use antibacterial soap to wash my hands frequently.
Q. What is one thing you love about yourself?
I love the fact that I am quite inquisitive and well-traveled. It definitely has helped broaden my perception of the world we live in and exposed me to different cultures.
Q. What is one thing that makes you laugh hard?
I love Nollywood movies. I watch them almost daily. I am pretty much obsessed with Nollywood.
Nollywood movies are filled with hilarious moments and personalities. For some reason, I can’t stop laughing right now. Just the thought of them makes me laugh. Lol!
Q. What is one thing about you most people don’t know?
I can write a whole essay backwards. Literally, like Arabic backwards.
Q. What is one cause or initiative you believe in and support?
I believe in a lot of causes/ initiatives but truly admire Charity Water. They are passionate about providing water supply to the less privileged worldwide.
Q. What is one way you practice kindness to women in your life?
I provide free brand discovery calls for female entrepreneurs at Dyme Agency. They are able to schedule a meeting with me to analyze their business struggles and overcome them with my expertise in business and branding.
Q. What is one personal or professional development resource (book, podcast, course, video, song) you recommend?
I would recommend everyone to research and develop their career interests based on their preferred method of learning. I binge watch business and relaxation Youtube videos or podcasts by Gary Vee, The Minimalists, Vanessa Lau, Tony Robbins, and many others.
Q. What is one of your favorite mantras or quotes?
“Que sera, sera.” In English, “Whatever will be, will be.”
