Welcome to the Blogger Spotlight: 10 Questions with Tomisin!

Our blogger of the month is Tomisin Dabo!

Tomisin Dabo is simply a phenomenal woman, a poet, and an education enthusiast. I love to learn, teach, and train. She believes that the path to being an outstanding leader is primarily linked to the wealth of values you were raised with. So she has a great interest in ‘parenting’ and a good bias towards raising the boy-child right.

Location: Abuja, Nigeria ??

Q. What is one productivity app, gadget, or tool you use consistently?

My Notes/Journals.

Q. How do you practice self-care in your life?

Spending time with myself in the Word.

Q. What is one pet peeve of yours?

Seeing classy folks wear ‘below-standard bracelets’ on their golden wrists. Like how could you, when you can get beautiful and affordable natural stone bracelets from BraceletGamesNg? Lol.

Q. What is one thing you love about yourself?

This one comes as mixed dough, though. I definitely love the fact that I could be very analytical. I sometimes think things through to their roots, rather than just scratch their surfaces. This is because sustainable developments or changes are birthed from the cores. Treatments are effective not just because the symptoms are gone, but because the causes are dealt with.

That side of me is always a blessing to those who know it’s worth it.

Q. What is one thing that makes you laugh hard?

Comics and savage responses that are highly relatable. Recently, I have taken some hard laughs from the tables of Layi Wasabi, Aderonke, Gilmore, and Justin Ug (all on tiktok street).

Q. What is one thing about you most people don’t know?

I could dance alone for hours without breaking down!!! Lol

Q. What is one cause or initiative you believe in and support?

Raising the boy-child right (with respect to leadership and societal stability).

Q. What is one way you practice kindness to women in your life?

I am not quick to judge my womenfolk, because I know there’s already a lot to deal with, being a member of my gender. Hence, I am willing to support you with knowledge and counsel when needed and where necessary.

Q. What is one personal or professional development resource (book, podcast, course, video, song) you recommend?

I would say learn at least a foreign language in a lifetime.

Q. What is one of your favorite mantras or quotes?

“We live ahead of the devil when we live by faith!”

Bonus Question:

Q. Who is one woman in your network you’d like to see featured on the blog and blogger spotlight series?

Busayo Adebowale, of Inspired Kids Network.
